handcrafted soaps

Dear Olive soaps celebrate the charm of the irregularly shaped and handmade. Hand crafted, hand cut, hand stamped - no two bars are exactly alike. Each bar tells its own tale of the alchemy of ingredient interaction and the environment. Made from sustainably farmed, saponified local olive oil, coconut oil from the Tiwi Islands plus pure essential oils, each soap weighs 100+ grams.

Cured for at least 2 - 3 months, the soaps are hard with a creamy lather that's tough on dirt without drying your skin. As with all natural soaps with a high glycerin content, keeping your bar in a position that allows air circulation will prolong its life.

The soaps available in my range are:

- Bush Balm Mint & Peppermint Gum. Smells like the freshness of the Australian bush after a shower of rain - an experience of petrichor on tap!

- Myrtle & Lemongrass. The soft, citrus aroma of lemon myrtle is unique to Australia & a favourite with many. With a touch of lemongrass, this soap has a sweet, lemony zing.

- Lavender & Cinnamon. A subtle touch of cinnamon which adds warmth and sweetness to the comforting aroma of lavender.

- Rose & Petitgrain. Combines the evocative nature of rose blended with a smokey, orange wood scent.

- Fennel & Mandarin. Provides a refreshingly spicy, citrus uplift. This blend has some serious devotees!

- Ylang Ylang & Patchouli. A darker soap with essential oils that are both known for their soothing, earthy sweetness.

- Scrubby. A gently, exfoliating soap with crushed olive stone plus the zing of lemongrass and black pepper essential oils.

I craft my Dear Olive soaps, balms & oils in my Castlemaine studio. Ingredients are ethically sourced, natural & palm-oil free.
